IS 2012 THE END OF TIME AS WE KNOW IT?
I keep hearing about 2012 being the end of times. A close friend of mine has told me that she was asking people what they believed. Asking many religious folk, you usually get the same answer. "Only God knows." Honestly when someone asks me, i have to give them the truth as i see it. You asked my opinion, and I'm more than happy to give it to you.
When the History channel looks back at historical events from thousands of years ago, it often refers to the Bible. NEVER do you hear it refer to the Qua'ran, Hindu scripture, or any other parchment that may have been involved with a religious group. When it comes to historical facts, the Bible has been precise, using Genealogies of about 3,087 people, dating from Jesus Christ to Adam and Eve, including who they were married to or their spouses, their brothers, sisters, children, and concubines. Such Genealogies also include the entire family of King David. So if the History channel trusts The Bible with such historical facts as "fact", then lets look at what the good book says about THE END OF THE WORLD.
Looking at scripture, the first question i usually get is "When?". Well... "Only God knows..". Just kidding! I plan on telling you as much as i can! lol. The answer is plain, and easy. Matthew 24:14 "And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come." The whole world will know the gospel of Jesus Christ. Every man woman and child on this earth. Not one person in the whole world would have not heard the true gospel of Christ. Allow me to take part in the end of times. The Lord God almighty in heaven, has sent his son, Jesus, who is God, to become a man on earth. To cure sins, sacrifices were burned, usually a VERY white sheep, or a "clean" animal. Jesus Himself who is perfect, sinless, never did anything wrong, the most perfect human being in the world, took up the cross and was sacrificed there. And all of the fierce wrath of God that should have fallen on each one of us, fell upon Him instead. He rose from the dead, defeating death, and showing himself to hundreds before returning to Heaven; He took our sins, and wiped us clean of any wrongs we have done, are doing, and will ever do, if you so choose to repent of those sins to Him and believe!
Now how could EVERYONE IN THE WORLD possibly hear the gospel? It is possible through missionaries. It is possible through advanced transportation. Through other advanced technologies. Today we have Blackberries, applications, Twitter, Facebook, the Internet in general. In all countries, there are street walkers proclaiming His name. We have televangelists. We have reliable transportation to all areas of the world. Churches teaching the gospel worldwide. Christians soldiers who spread the word during battle in foreign lands. Radio communication. Linguists. And most importantly, the Bible, which is written in many different languages; all proclaiming that Jesus Christ is powerful to save. Not everybody has to believe it, all they have to do is 'hear' it. Just once. Once you are aware of it, the choice to believe is between you and God, the Lord Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit. The answer to this question my friends, is: Imminent.
Now its not my job to lead you to Jesus Christ. Many people will mock this blog. They will mock me. They will do whatever it takes to dis-prove and pervert these scripture. Why? You would think if someone had a choice between eternal life and peace, over death and torture, you would "choose the best option". Well, the Bible also says we are evil. All of us. Even me. Our actions, our thoughts, and our words have proven it. You see MOST people don't want to hear the Bible or any of its scriptures because its testimony is AGAINST them. Just like a person who has cancer. The doctor comes in with the terrible news, and a the patient says "No! No! This can't be happening to me!" and they close their ears, as if they don't want to hear it. But in reality, closing your ears to what the doctor says, keeps you from hearing ANY of the ways you can treat cancer. Closing your eyes and ears to the gospel of Jesus Christ and His salvation for us all, keeps you from any hope of ever being saved from the wickedness that is mankind.
In conclusion, if you have read this far, you yourself have heard the gospel of Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ has been kicked out of his own home. He has been beaten and spit on. He has been betrayed by friends. He has been tempted to do wrong in the desert with Satan. He has even been crushed by His own father. Isaiah 53:10 says it "pleased God to crush Him". It is the most perfect plan to save mankind. The sacrifice of God's perfect son. I'm sure Jesus has suffered great depression, as i have and do today. Have you? Tell Him. Jesus has been there. He knows what we're going through, and He knows that the wrongs we have done against Him were of the fault of our radically depraved bodies. Tell Him what you've done. Ask Him to forgive you, and you can be sure to believe that He understands, and will forgive you. Repent! Believe! And i promise, you will be saved from the wrath that is to come. The end of times.
